As The Ghost Lullaby branches out to far reaches of greater L.A., it never ceases to surprise us that despite all the garbage shoved down this society's collective throat, people continue to gag it all up  and come out to see good live music. We ventured down to Huntington Beach on Sept 5th to play the Surf City Saloon, again with The Love Dolls. Even though the PA was cutting out, the people in the bar were kick-ass, most likely cause they were hammered. After all, it's only $7 for a 36oz draft, even Stella! Most importantly my brother and life long friends made the trip, which made it a special evening. Even though it was a helluva drive, and after a brief hiatus, it was nice to playing live again.
Our next adventure was much closer to home, The All-Star Lanes in Eagle Rock. We were warmely greeted by the hosts and set up on the floor of the bar between 2 posts. I must say, this was one of the most balanced sound systems we've played through... and it was just a portable PA! The room was warm sounding and the crowd..... greater than 60 strong on a Sunday night... was unbelievable. These people came to listen to some music and they did (fo sho!!) No chatter during the set and a by far the warmest applause we've recieved in a long time. And this was at a bowling alley!! Keep your eyes open for The All-Star Lanes as it will surely become a great live music venue.
Thanks again to Letting Up Despite Great Faults and the Eagle Rock Bowling and Drinking Club for hosting such a great evening!

Stay tuned and see The Ghost Lullaby Friday, Oct 12th at Charlie O's Lounge inside the Alexnadria Hotel!!!!
DOWNTOWN BABY!

So, the last show with the Love Dolls in Downey was really great. So many people were there just hanging out listening to all the bands. Rock kids in downey rock. Another band named Shiloe also played that night, and we really liked their performance. They reminded me of Sonic Youth, mostly sonic nurse album.
